My name is Colin and I live in the UK. I’ve been involved with electronics and computers since my early teens (a long while ago or so it now seems), both as a hobby and professionally so I guess that probably makes me a bit of (lot of) a geek.
I bought my first domain name and put a website online in 1999, it was for my company when I quit the permanent job and went back freelance consulting again, the consulting is still going so the site is still up although moved hosts and been redesigned several times. I also have several more websites scattered around nowadays.
This blog, which is my first, is intended to have some techie bits, some comments and musings on life and a few pictures from trips.
Why the name OldBlogger? It blended in with the tagline attitude and just sounded right, why the ‘Gone Fishing’? well that’s more about an attitude to life I like to try and adopt, relax and enjoy life, when you enjoy what your doing it becomes play, the outcomes on all levels are then far better than if you grind away doing something you hate.
